The world is here to play!

Rugby World Cup 2011 is all we have been hearing for months! We couldn't miss the opportunity to get tickets to a few games. We decided to support Japan....they were some of the cheapest tickets around and they played matches within 2 hours of Auckland (including the All Blacks). We grew to love our new little team, even if they didn't actually win any games!

First game was at North Harbour Stadium, just 10 minutes from our house against France on the opening weekend. Have to say that we did find ourselves shouting "Allez les blues", so maybe we weren't fully supporting Japan!

Next match was down in Hamilton to watch Japan vs New Zealand on a Friday night. Rosemary and Laura also had tickets, so we had a fun road trip (complete with sandwiches and cakes)!

The last of our Japan matches was up in Whangarei in the middle of the week. We saw them play Tonga at a great stadium - the atmosphere was wonderful!

Gareth managed to get some last-minute tickets with a friend to see South Africa vs Samoa. It was a close and intense match for a Friday night!

Now we have reached the semi finals, with France, Wales, New Zealand and Australia left in the running. All Blacks car flags are on every other car here in Auckland, so lets hope they do well!!!
