With baby due in 3 months, we thought we'd take the opportunity for an island paradise holiday before everything changes. Only 4 hours from Auckland is Rarotonga - a volcanic island surrounded by a lagoon with amazing coral reef. We slept lots and lots (about 11-12 hours a day!), read books from cover to cover, swam and snorkeled our way through the week.
