My Aunty Alice

For half my life so far, I have been lucky enough to have Aunty Alice looking after me and giving me big cuddles. She had to go back to Rome last week and I just keep thinking about the fun times we had together. When I think of Aunty Alice, I feel like this:

My very first cuddle...followed by many more...

I also got lots of playtime.

Aunty Alice not only looked after me, but she also cooked pretty much every meal for Mummy, Daddy and Grandpa when she was here. She is such a great chef - Uncle Pasque is a very lucky man!

We did have to get Hell pizza in one night though (sorry you missed out Pasque)! Very different to a Roman pizza, but yummy all the same.

I don't know how she did it, but Aunty Alice also found time to read in the sunshine, enjoy chai latte in every cafe on the north shore and come out for family trips.

I know that Aunty Alice wanted me to go and live in Rome with her, and maybe I will one day when I am older, but for the moment, she had to fly back with a different kind of little kiwi.

I miss my Aunty Alice lots and lots, but at the same time, I have such great memories of a very special three weeks getting to know her. There is also a constant reminder that she was here....Mummy keeps finding sequins everywhere!
