Grandpa has been giving out baby cuddles for years and years, so he is very experienced! He even cuddled Mummy in the same way as me 33 years ago (don't I look like Mummy?!).
Some of my special morning cuddles...
...and afternoon walks...
Grandpa loves my name as it is taken from the name of his house where Mummy grew up (Rose Cottage). He wrote my name in the sand and made big blocks with my name and rose paper - he is so creative and clever!
He has also been around to watch Mummy experience new things, such as emergency nappy changing in the car and 'tummy time'.
On my 7-week birthday, Grandpa turned 72 years old. I was a really good girl that day so that he could go out for lunch AND dinner (this was the first evening out for Mummy and Daddy too!).
On his last day in New Zealand, we went for a walk up the cliffs at long bay. It was a very windy day, so we watched all of the kite surfers having fun.
We had time for a final chai latte in Paper Moon while listening to the Sunday evening live music...
...before it was time to say goodbye, thank you for all the love and support, take a little gingerbread kiwi with you, and we will miss the snoring from the spare room during the night feeds! A bientot Grandpa - we love you!
