48 hours in Parramatta

Two weeks ago, we received an email from Nic and Scott saying that they were going to be in Sydney (for Scott's work) and was there any possibility that we could come over for the weekend. After very little deliberating, we booked flights and headed out on Saturday afternoon to Sydney and then on to Parramatta on the outskirts of the city. The weekend was focussed on catching up, drinks, food and more drinks!

Excited on the metro on our way to Parramatta

Our first night with Nic and Scott was spent in a wonderful Indian restaurant. We let pur waiter pick from the menu for us as there were far too many yummy things to try!

We couldn't visit Sydney and not see our dear friends Geraldine, Aloys and Malena. They headed out to Pararamatta for Sunday brunch...

Hannah and Malena have similar taste in shoes!

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday, so we took a walk along the riverbank.

Next stop was a Bravarian beer cafe in a church! We spent the afternoon sampling the beer and listening to Fritz von Trout on his accordion...very random!

Italian for Sunday evening in a very busy restaurant with HUGE portions! Even the four of us couldn't finish all the food on the table!

A grey start to Monday morning. But this didn't spoil our plans to head to the city for our 7th wedding anniversary. A trip down the river to arrive into Sydney under the harbour bridge!

A trip to Sydney is now not complete without a visit to a chocolate shop.

Playing with the new iPads in the Apple store!

To celebrate 7 years of marriage...a glass of savignon blanc and bangers & mash as we had 7 years ago!
