Sydney weekend

With the start of a new airline flying "across the ditch", we picked up a really good deal to nip over and visit Geraldine, Aloys and 18-month-old Malena for the weekend. It was just 7 months since they came to Auckland, but Malena had changed lots - walking, running and bilingual already! She had also found a love for vegemite...

New house too on a street with beautiful blooming jacaranda trees...

A new puzzle from New Zealand to play with...

Playgrounds around Sydney played a bit part in the weekend...

Saturday was sunny, so we took headed south of Sydney for a walk. We took a ferry from Cronoola across to the national park, where we had a picnic on the beach, walk in the bush, found Aboriginal rock carvings and even went for a swim.

Al fresco dining at the local Italian restaurant...

Followed by the most amazing ice cream - yum!

At 18 months, Malena is already a pro at Sunday morning brunch and her 'babyccino"!

A walk on the north shore...

And the weekend rounded up with a visit to the Max Brenner chocolate cafe for complete indulgence!
