Auckland Winter weekends

We've spent the past 4 weeks in Auckland, catching up with friends and sheltering from the rainy/stormy weather that is common place this time of year.

We trialled our "Ruby-sitting" service for a full 24 hours, passing with flying colours (we think). The little angel slept for 12 hours, didn't cry once, and even shouted "Yey" when we explained she would be staying with us overnight. Bless. Ruby celebrated her 2nd birthday last week, so we also popped around to celebrate with Hats and balloons.

Five hats - there's one around the back!

We also attended a fab party at Auckland's Classic Car Museum. Amongst the collection of classic british sports cars, we drank free beer, ate Pizza and listened to live music. Is there a better party combination?

We braved the weekend's cyclone to head into the Waitakere Ranges and get some fresh air. The rain curtailed our stroll, but blew away the cobwebs.

Otherwise, Gareth has been increasing his running as he is planning on entering the Auckland Marathon in November. Hannah has been attempting to decode her Dad's knitting pattern - but no-one in the Auckland knitting circle can figure it out. Knitting experts please get in touch!!!

That's all for now folks...
