Wellington visit & Auckland wine tasting

We made the most of Gareth's Friday business meeting in Wellington and decided to spend the weekend down in the capital city. With no real plans on Saturday, we wandered the city exploring the waterfront, cafes, galleries and museums. In the evening, we met up with Dave for a yummy Cambonian meal, but forgot to bring the camera....sorry Dave!

On Sunday, we went to the amazing World of Wearable Art show. Thankfully, we picked up a programme, which detailed the ideas behind some of these abstract pieces of art. We weren't allowed to take photos during the show, but there was a big presence of the show in the city...

Last weekend, Dean and Debbie arrive from the UK (Dean used to work with Gareth in London). Following their long flight, we took them up One Tree Hill, then spent the afternoon having our first BBQ of the year. This was followed by a trip to Mission Bay for ice cream!

Tuesday was Dean's birthday, so we spent the evening in the Wine Loft for a spot of wine tasting and yummy food.
