Summertime

Yippee, summertime has certainly arrived! When we are not at work, most of our time is being spent at BBQs, on the beach or in the garden. Some friends had a 1960s Austin Powers themed BBQ last week, so we did our best to fit in...yeah baby!

We have visited both the wild west coast beaches with their black volcanic sands and the contrasting golden beaches on the east coast. Now that the water is nice and warm we have learnt how to bodyboard along the waves.

Our garden is really coming along and looking beautiful with the tall sunflowers, but producing far too many courgettes for the two of us to consume! We have eventually started to give some away after weeks of courgette stir-frys, courgette quiche, courgette bake, stuffed courgette etc....! The cherry tomatoes are yummy and sweet and taste wonderful with the lettuce or rocket. We have also just planted some watermelon too!
