Jobs, Sydney & walks

Gareth has had a busy fews weeks settling in to his new job, meeting new colleagues and clients. He has been working at various locations in Auckland, so is getting to know the roads very well! In the meantime, Hannah has been job hunting, researching and having interviews. On Tuesday she accepted an offer as a Publication Manager for a company producing medical journals, so it was time to open the champagne:

Opening the bubbly!

They have asked Hannah to start on Monday. Deciding to make the most of her last few days of freedom, she hopped on a plane to Sydney to see her good friend Geraldine. They enjoyed days on the beach and swimming at Manley and Shark Bay, exploring Sydney's produce markets and spending time catching up over coffees and hot chocolates!

Before Angie and Paul moved to their new Mt Eden accommodation, they accompanied Hannah to Rangitoto Island and climbed to the peak of the volcano. We also all made a visit to the Waitakere Ranges, just 30 minutes from Auckland for a rainforest walk and picnic.

This weekend saw the Auckland food and wine festival down at the Viaduct harbour. We sampled many yummy New Zealand cheeses, olives, meats and wines. We now know what to look out for in the supermarket!
