On top of all the business of packing up our lives, Rosa has also got her first two teeth (so we have started the brushing routine) and has had her first tastes of solid food. After 3 weeks, she is already of three meals a day!
Ruby celebrated her 6th birthday with a yummy brunch.
We had a farewell morning tea with the coffee group.
And our lovely home by the sea was packed up and cleaned (thanks for doing the skirting boards Leah!) while Rosa played happily on her mat.
Our last full day in NZ was spent at the zoo with Sarah, Mike, Anna, Owen, Ruby and Leah.
We stayed a wonderful few nights with Anna, Owen and two familiar turtles with their beanbag houses.
Thanks to Ruby's squashing abilities, we managed to close the suitcases and head to the airport for a gingerbread kiwi to send us on our way.
We had difficulty ticking the 'Leaving permanently' box on the departure card, but before we knew it we had started the 30-hour flight back to Manchester via Sydney and Dubai.
Rosa was too long for the bassinet and only slept for short bursts on the two is us, so we were exhausted by the time we arrived, but had an amazing greeting as we entered the arrivals hall in Manchester.
