At the age of 12 weeks, Mummy and Daddy thought it was about time to have a holiday and start travelling. What better excuse than a family wedding in Perth? It also meant that I could meet my Aunty Jill and have more cuddles with Granny and Grandad. So, with my very own passport we headed to the airport and jumped on a jet plane.
Even though Mummy fed me on takeoff and landing, my ears still hurt a lot as we descended into Sydney. I cried a lot, but cuddles with my Aunty Geraldine made it all better! Geraldine also helped us transfer to the domestic terminal as we didn't have long before our flight on to Perth - just enough time for a coffee, cuddles and nappy change.
We landed in Perth in the middle of the night, so I didn't get to meet my Aunty Jill or cousins until the next day. When I did meet them, I got lots of cuddles.
My gorgeous Aunty Jill...
...cousin Sophie...
...cousin Matt (who looks scary, but is a big softie!)...
...and cousin Ben who was getting married.
We had a little party the night before the big event.
Before I knew it, we were heading south of Perth to the wedding venue. We had a room at the venue, which was very handy for feeds, changes and sleeps. Mummy and Daddy even let me have an afternoon play on their bed, although it was a bit big for me.
Before I knew it, the glad rags were on and it was time for the wedding - how exciting!
The next morning, I wore my ManU outfit as I knew all my cousins were big fans and would appreciate a young supporter.
We then drove even further south to Dunsborough, where we stayed in a big house and could see kangaroo from the living room window!
I am becoming very flexible with my routines now and had to get used to being changed in lots of different places by lots of different people and even having baths in the sink!
We had a lovely walk by the beach and I enjoyed lots of cuddles (especially with my Aunty Jill) in Dunsborough.
On our last morning in Dunsborough, we went for breakfast.
It was a 3-hour drive back to Perth and I slept all the way as I was really tired after such a busy time. We then had a couple of days in Perth before flying back to Auckland. Mummy and Daddy caught up with Dave and Jane after I had gone to bed one night - I was sorry to have missed them, but hopefully I'll see them soon. I had lots more cuddles with Aunty Jill and even met my second cousin, Emily who liked playing with me!
It was a fantastic first holiday, and Mummy and Daddy feel very confident about travelling with me now as I was such a good girl. I am missing all my family lots already, but look forward to seeing them again soon.
