Another "must do" on Jill's list was to head north of Auckland and what better place to go than Rosemary's home in Whangaroa.

We headed to Manganoui on Saturday for a wander in the gift shops and the obligatory fish & chips.











A trip to northland wouldn't be complete without seeing (and hugging!) a giant kauri tree.







It's all happening at the Whangaroa Big Gamefish Club where we spent Saturday evening. The "Ladies weekend" fishing competition saw some big marlin at the weighing station.



Sunday morning brunch doesn't get any better than this!
