Coastal Challenge and Kayaking

A summer weekend with lots of outdoor activities planned! Saturday afternoon, we both completed in the Coastal Challenge - an off road run along the beaches, rocks and sea of Auckland's north shore. Gareth did the 16-km run, while Hannah opted for the 11-km course. We both really enjoyed the off road experience, although our trainers are still recovering from the sea water and sand after multiple washes!

Our energetic afternoon was followed by a wonderful party at Anna and Owen's with lots of live music and yummy food...the last party before the new baby arrives.

On Sunday, we drove up to Puhoi and got in a double kayak for the paddle down river to the Wenderholm regional park with a few of Hannah's colleagues. Gareth did a great job of steering from the back of the kayak, which also allowed him to rest without Hannah knowing!!
