This weekend was all about meeting Malena...and there are lots of photos! We waited 5 months to meet Malena and we sure were in for a treat when we arrived in to Sydney on Friday evening! She is a beautiful, happy, smiley, clever baby, and Geraldine and Aloys are wonderful parents. They had moved home since we were last in Sydney and now have a fantastic 3-bedroomed house with garden only minutes from Centennial Park.
First real cuddleMalena meeting her little baby lamb from NZOn Saturday morning, we ate yummy French (of course!) croissant on the deck and planned the day ahead.
We decided to head across to the coast and the 'Sculptures by the Sea' outdoor exhibition running along the coastal walk from Tamarama to Bondi.
On the way back, we decided to go for a coffee and walk near Maroubra beach, which we had never visted before and was a lot quieter than the other beaches.
Catching upIs it deep enough?Kisses from mummyEnjoying Hannah's colourful braceletOn Sunday morning, we headed in to the city to meet Garreth and Caroline at Circular Quay. We arrived 30 minutes early, so had a wander around the opera house.
We enjoyed brunch at Garreth and Caroline's local cafe and went up to their amazing apartment, which practically under the harbour bridge and has fantastic views. We spent the whole morning catching up and completely forgot to take any photos....sorry!
Sunday afternoon was Malena's naming BBQ. Geraldine and Aloys had asked Hannah to be Malena's Godmother and she is extremely honoured and accepted immediately! Graham is Malena's Godfather and we all spent a wonderful afternoon in the garden celebrating.
After eating so much yummy food, we took a walk in Centennial Park and introduced Malena to the rose garden.
We bought Malena a flower mobile as a naming present and she seemed happy with the choice.
On our last afternoon, the temperature rose to 32 degrees, so we headed to Coogee for a dip in the sea and some lunch.
